DO NOT BUY! I didn’t do my research before buying this washer! Take this warning from me. This is the worst, expensive, washer I have ever owned. I would love to have my old top loading Maytag back! On the spin cycle, it sounds like a helicopter is landing in our house! The clothes NEVER smell fresh, in fact they smell moldy! The washer door must be left open or a horrible smells resinates from the washer. Very poorly designed where water “sits” in the rubber molding and I was told by LG Customer Service to wipe it after each wash. Also to run cycles of lemon lime kool aid through it monthly. I didn’t buy an $1100 washer to have to do maintenance on it monthly. If you smell something funky, it’s your clothes! I have kids and it doesn’t remove stains very well either. I would love to get a new washer but WOULD NEVER sell this machine (headache) to someone else. I am thinking about sending LG a towel washed in their washer and one washed in a top loader and let them smell the difference. Be warned- if you choose to purhase the washer- you will be sorry. I can only think of one reason that it may receive favorable reviews- they haven’t owned it long enough for the problems to occur. Give it a little time. Stick with the top loaders as Maytag had a lawsuit for the same issues that was resolved with a class action lawsuit. I am hoping to join in on one for this product as well.
