Purchased the Affinity less than a year ago and have had to have two service calls for the same problem. The paddles that move the clothes are made of plastic and are held in place by tiny plastic tabs, which are subject to breaking off. Once they break the paddle moves and water and lint get trapped in the machine and start to smell horribly (like sewage). We have also had a problem with water sitting the door gasket and molding/smelling. When I called Frigidaire, rep they suggested leaving the door open it was not in use. That was not very helpful. I have never seen any advertising photos or copy suggesting you can’t close the door or your clothes smell like sewage.

I like the styling and was excited about the water use and the large capacity. Those advantages aren’t worth much if the machine doesn’t work and it smells like a pit toilet. The door also seems very flimsy to me, but it has not caused any problems yet. It’s discouraging because I was replacing a washer that still worked great after 15 years, but just wanted to get something nice for my wife. I won’t purchase Frigidaire again.
